  We would not have stayed here had we known the bathroom was located outside in a shared hallway.

  Inexpensive, excellent location, clean, free parking

  Adjusting the property's description would help manage expectations and avoid disappointment. 1) The unit is described as a "one-bedroom apartment"/ “entire apartment” and says "the entire place is yours"; however, it is a room within a shared house. There are no doors separating the kitchen/dining, living, and sleeping areas. 2) The description mentions a “private bathroom”, but does not indicate that the bathroom is two rooms located outside of the unit in a shared hallway. Locking and unlock the unit and bathroom doors throughout the night was loud for us and I'm sure disrupted the guest in the other room within the house. It is also uncomfortable to enter the shared hallway in pajamas during the night, and there are no trash cans in the toilet or shower rooms, meaning you must carry your trash (e.g., feminine hygiene products, wipes, Q-tips, etc.) back through the shared hallway to the room. It would be good to add a shelf or rack in the shower, as there is no place to set soap, etc. 3) The listing mentions air conditioning, but there is no air conditioning. 4) There is a washing machine. It would be good to note that it is decorative only, as we put the towels and our clothes into the machine with detergent the first night only to discover that it is not actually connected. 5) The sofa "bed" is located next to the pushed-together twin beds. We could not locate sheets or a bed pillow to turn the sofa into a bed. Note that the sofa and beds are very firm. 6) The listing says “free private parking on site”. Parking is in an unpaved area a few minutes walk away. You cannot roll suitcases but must carry them as it’s on a hill over rocks and gravel and then upstairs. 7) The photos show stairs inside the unit which suggest that it is two floors. Note that the top of the stairs is boarded up.
