Given that there is currently (July 2026) an outbreak of dengue fever in Sri Lanka, it is a disgrace that a.) the windows were drafty and there were many mosquitoes in the room, and b.) the mosquito net had several holes, rendering it useless; and after we expressed our concern, all we received was an electric fly swatter. How was that supposed to help us overnight, etc.? The dead mosquitoes on the bed proved that there had already been plenty of mosquitoes before. We decided to leave. We received a minimal refund (we were reimbursed for 1 night out of 2), even though we hadn’t used any towels, bed linens, or the like up to that point. Okay. Despite asking the manager, we were never told why we didn’t get a refund for the breakfast we’d booked. We understand that every accommodation relies on revenue, but especially this year (when even the military was deployed in Sri Lanka to combat the dengue fever epidemic), it’s hard to understand why the rooms aren’t better prepared. And don’t even get me started on the cleanliness or the security (door lock) of the accommodation. Disappointing

L'emplacement
La chambre qui sent le moisi. L'accueil avec le personnel qui nous a vu arriver, mais nous a ignoré pendant 10 minutes. La literie peu confortable. Méfiez vous des photos très flatteuse comparé aux murs décrépis de la réalité. Nous avons quand-même obtenu un remboursement et sommes allés loger ailleurs.

Das Frühstück war sehr lecker und der Strand ist nicht weit entfernt.
Das Zimmer war relativ dunkel und wir hatten Ameisen im Bad. Nachdem wir dies beim Host angesprochen haben, hat dieser sofort gehandelt.
