    Well kept inn in the best location.

    Charming room. Excellent location.

    Access to the upstairs rooms require climbing rock stairs. It is well lit and has great handrails but be aware if mobility is an issue. It was usually hot for Eureka while we were there and the a/c struggled but we slept well with overhead fan.

    Clean, comfy but a bit short on specifics

    It was clean. The bed is extremely comfortable. There was plenty of hot water. The location is perfect with off street parking which is a rarity.

    We have stayed here numerous times over 25 years. New owners have not maintained the exterior landscaping which was always part of the charm. Breakfast is no longer provided. The TV system is complicated. Inn keeper should provide printed instructions as to how to operate it. It actually turned on by itself in the middle of the night! We started the gas fireplace, (again no instructions were provided) but eventually turned it off as I began to feel odd, so we opened the door to get some fresh air.
