Quite possibly the nicest river view in town
We chose Budda Home purely to stay in the "Uruguay" room, which is the only unit in the complex that overlooks the river. The large outside patio does indeed have an awesome view over the river (with a couple of roofs in front), and is super spacious and equipped well with patio seating. The unit itself didn't quite live up to what we were expecting, with no living area, a small kitchenette only, and a dining table. The one and only TV was in the bedroom, meaning you had to be sitting on the bed if you wanted to watch anything. The A/C unit was also located in the bedroom, but was large enough that it cooled the whole unit, which was needed. Budda Home is located right in the middle of the small village, so occasionally you will get a bit of noise from the nearby restaurant, but it was never enough to keep us up, or wake us up. The convenience of the location was wonderful - a short walk would take you anywhere in town.
There was a lack of extras in the unit; eg, no shampoo, conditioner, or even soap for the shower. No filters for the coffee maker.

Mitten im Ort und trotzdem ruhig
Tolle Lage an der schönsten Stelle von Tortuguero, die man zu Fuß vom Anlegehafen schnell erreichen kann. Geräumiges Zimmer, bequemes Bett, ansprechende Anlage - gleichzeitig ist es ruhig. Man kann Tee und Kaffee auf dem Zimmer selbst zubereiten. Sehr nettes Personal.
Das Badezimmer ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Eine eigene Terrasse oder ein eigener Balkon wären super gewesen. Bei Stromausfall (was in der Regenzeit durchaus mal passieren kann, aber das weiß man ja bei der Buchung) gibt es leider kein Warmwasser.
