Beautiful Accommodation - Service and cleanliness an issue.
The accommodate was absolutely beautiful. I chose it as I loved how it was decorated and the rooftop area was also appealing. I liked having separate areas to enjoy also. The rooms were spacious.
The host was lovely when we arrived and even dropped us at the supermarket as she was leaving. We had high hopes. She mentioned when she was showing us around that they had issues with their cleaners who had been really busy but they are getting better. After she left we noticed hairs on the floors, the kitchen sink needed a good scrub, the fridge was really smelly and needed cleaned. We should have let them know but as we had shopping to unpack so we just cleaned it ourselves. I was staying with my husband and his son and his partner for 7 nights and we were left with one bathroom towel each and a beach towel each. There was a Whatsaap group set up for the host and myself and husband and we asked if they could drop us some more towels off and were told she would get the cleaners to drop by the next day. They never showed up and when we chased them up they advised if we want more towels they are 25 Euro each. We did push back and eventually they dropped extra towels off but not nice to have the back and forth on holiday. The other points were that things like towels, toilet paper, cleaning products, garbage bags are actually listed on the booking as facilities however we had one half a toilet roll in each bathroom, there were no garbage bags at all and limited cleaning products. We had to purchase our own. I would have thought these things in such a beautiful apartment would be standard and not a luxury. Nice property, easy to get about but the service and the 'facilities' had a lot to be desired.
