the host was lovely.
cob webs everywhere in the room, the shower was dirty, there were other people's hair in the bed.

Comfortable
The location is good , near to most of the attraction , the owner is very helpful and approachable..
The downside is our toilet is quite small, and we can hear people talking from the other room though, but otherwise everything is worth the money, it was a good bargain

Ok.... could be so much better
Great location lovely owner with plenty of information on arrival plus agreed parking when you register across the road at the Plough pub.
Smaller room than expected but manageable (just) definitely more suited to one or 2 nights not 6. VERY noisy floorboards we could hear anyone move in both adjoining rooms and likewise I'm sure they could hear us which was very annoying. Bathroom needs an update shower was good but overall very small even difficult to use the toilet, paint peeling off the ceiling and both shelves very loose. The bed was ok but not comfy the door was hanging off the wardrobe but the mini fridge was a nice bonus. Would I stay again yes but hopefully get a better room plus the owner was nice and helpful and if the floor could be fixed but the location can't be faulted for the castle and getting around. Ps the plough is also good for breakfast 😋
