It was our first visit in Florence and the Forte 16 was a great place to stay. After checking the prices for parking at the hotel (25€/day) and knowing Florence has a ZTL anyway we decided to leave our car at the Parcheggio Villa Constanza (5€/day) and continue by Tram (T1) and bus (14), it's around 30 minutes in total and easy to do. A short walk takes you into the City Center, from where you can explore the beautiful city. There's a HUGE construction site atm, but the room, despite going streetside, was still quiet enough to not ruin our stay. The room itself was absolutely amazing, a living room with a small kitchen (we didn't use it but it even had a microwave and dishwasher), a bathroom with bathtub and Bidet, and a bed room with the biggest most comfortable bed we've ever seen (I will miss this bed for the rest of my life), big TV in the living room, smaller TV in the bed room. The Spa has a Pool, Sauna and steambath, we used it every day. We also booked the Jaccuzzi experience for 60 Euro (also available for 80 with a bottle of prosecco), the jaccuzi is on the roof top (above 5th floor) and I checked what time the sun is going down and the view was absolutely worth it. We also got the breakfast that is available for 12€ p.P. which I think is a fair price for the Buffet that had everything, from coffee, hot chocolate, fresh orange juice, yogurt, cereal, bread, cheese, sausages, scrambled egg, pancakes, muffins, cake,... The staff was very friendly, the room was cleaned everyday All in all it wasn't the cheapest stay, but worth the money and I hope we will be back someday.
There's nothing we didn't like, but a few things could be improved, mostly concerning the Spa: - It would be great if there were towels available at the Spa, cause we had to use our towels from the bathroom, that then of course were wet for showering in the evening, because the towel rack didn't have a heating function (or we couldn't find one) - with the late dinners in italy it would be cool if the Spa was open longer, it is open til 6 and then can be booked from 6 to 7 and from 6 to 8, but I think til 10pm would be great. - There's bathrobes in the room to use, but they have to last for the whole stay and can'tbe changed. After the 1st/2nd day in the Spa they were already wet cause I didn't want to get my bathroom towels too wet, since I needed them for showering in the evening, and they never dried until the end of our stay

A Great Location with Some Room for Improvement
Forte16 is ideally located for exploring Florence, with easy access to the city’s attractions. One of the highlights was the panoramic viewing area, which offered lovely views across the city. The hotel was clean and tidy throughout, and the staff were lovely, friendly and welcoming. The spa facilities were a nice addition, providing an opportunity to relax after a busy day of sightseeing. The kitchenette was also very useful, and having cold filtered water readily available was a thoughtful touch. We also appreciated the complimentary bottle of wine waiting for us in the apartment.
Unfortunately, there was construction work taking place directly outside the hotel during our stay. While we appreciate that maintenance and building work are sometimes unavoidable, it was disappointing to experience this during a holiday. We also found the apartment lacked a little warmth and character. Although clean and functional, the overall decor felt quite bland, and the absence of simple comforts such as blankets meant it didn't quite have the cosy, homely atmosphere we would have liked. The additional costs were another drawback. The hotel parking charges felt expensive, and we would have preferred the city tax to have been included in the initial price or made clearer when booking, so the total cost of our stay was more transparent from the outset.
