    Really enjoyable and lived up to our expectations. There were two excellent restaurants very near.

    The breakfast options were fine and more than adequate. Joan was an extremely good host.

    There was nothing that we found which we didn't like. Fortunately the B&B was not fully booked so there were adequate free parking places at the rear of the property - had it been busy it would be 'first come first served'. However there were Pay and Display car parks within a short walking distance.

    Perfect location, friendly and safe for solo traveller.

    Location excellent. Almost opposite the Abbey and well located for restaurants and walk along the river. Safe, off road parking behind Hotel. Large room, comfortable bed, good lighting and a fan. Bathroom small but perfectly formed. Breakfast was fine. Owner friendly and helpful.

    Long flight of stairs up to bedroom and had to carry own bags up and down. Fine for me but may not be for everyone.

    Every single thing about Jessop House exceeded our expectations. We knew it had high ratings, but as soon as our amazing host, Joan, welcomed us in and showed us around we realised what a gem of a place it was. Cleanliness, comfort, provision of everything we needed, plus a delicious breakfast was all provided with a spectacular attention to detail. A truly exceptional place to stay.
