  No-frills property extremely basic. However, affordable accommodation in a safe location

  Racquel was a true professional and the only host available for interaction. The location was excellent and very central. The property is gated and situated in a relatively safe area. Overall, this is a no-frills property extremely basic. However, I was seeking affordable accommodation in a safe location, and in that respect, the property met my requirements.

  Prior to my arrival, I was required to pay a security deposit of JMD $7,900, which I was informed would cover the cost of any breakages and would be reimbursed upon checkout. Racquel was kind enough to be present when I checked out to confirm that there had been no breakages, and I am currently awaiting reimbursement of the deposit. I was also required to pay an additional cleaning fee for the room. Although I initially understood this to be an optional charge, I was subsequently informed that the fee covered the cleaning of the room following checkout. However, the property's checkout requirements stated that guests were expected to empty and dispose of their rubbish, hang towels out to dry, and wash all kitchen utensils. Having completed these tasks, I found it difficult to understand the justification for an additional cleaning fee. The property could also benefit from a few simple upgrades, such as a cover for the kettle, a new rug in the bedroom area, and a few additional finishing touches.
