A super stopover.
Lovely food and ale from their own brew house.Welcoming and accommodating staff. Good breakfast. A lovely stop over on our way home from the Highlands. Such a beautiful area a walk away from Pitlochry town centre. Great to see a couple of hot chocolate sachets with the tea and coffee making facilities.
Our room was ready for a bit of tender loving care.

I chose the location for work. Clearly this busy hotel appeals to tourists and hikers predominantly.
Location was the key for business reasons. The breakfast was good as was the evening meal.
Generally this old quaint hotel is in need of refurbishment in several areas which can quite easily cost a fortune. It's family owned and speaking to the owner, work is in hand but I must speak as I find as £120/ is not cheap as is Pitlochry generally I found. Main issue for me was the smallest bathroom I've ever encountered and the cleanliness around the shower was very grimy and needs a good clean. The bed has also seen better days and was not comfortable at all. Prices for beers in the bar were too expensive and clearly took advantage of the captive audience.

great spot. exactly what you imagine when staying in a Scottish hotel. nice big rooms and lovely comfy sofas in lounge area to chill out. the bar is lovely and food was great.
we arrived ten mins early for check in. staff was quite abrupt with us. no hi welcome etc. just "your a bit early for check in " when i said thought it was 3 o clock , she just looked at her watch and said well its only 2.50!!.. all she had to say was, can you give me 10mins we are not quite ready ,maybe take a seat in the lounge... we went away with our tail between our legs like a scolded child. wasnt the best start. same kind of response when we arrived back later that night, i asked could i get a drink to bring to my room,. was told no bar was closed and till was counted. i just assumed as residents we could get a drink even to have in hotel lounge. but i only wanted one to bring upstairs. it was only 10.40.. The shower was a hit and a miss either scalding hot or freezing cold.

Emplacement, propreté.
Service du petit-déjeuner, le serveur un peu paumé et peu souriant.
