    Disappointing

    Furniture and fittings

    Squeaky floorboards, having to pay for our drinks at breakfast when breakfast is included in price; not being served the meal I asked for at dinner. Construction noise, cleaners creeping around outside our door. Delayed service when requesting more towels, toilet paper etc. the hotel was not busy when we were there so no excuses for that. Expected much better service and facilities for the price we paid. We were not happy formed that maintenance was ongoing or that the pool was out of order

    Very comfortable and excellent value for money

    Lovely heritage building being carefully conserved and looked after by the owners

    Only slight downside was the noise from the improvement works directly underneath my room. Thankfully the work always finished at around 5pm
