    The Casterbridge is a charming guest house which prides itself on its traditional approach. Our room was immaculately clean, the bed big and comfortable, and the bathroom facilities excellent all round. We chose to have breakfast both days, which was very good value, and served in the establishment's traditional-style dining room. The welcome from the team was warm and friendly and we felt very well looked after. A wonderful antidote to the more generic chain-style hotel.

    A beautiful stay in the heart of Dorchester with warm and knowledgeable hosts.

    The hotel was gorgeous, in a perfect location in the centre of Dorchester. Tony greeted us on arrival and checked us in, and gave us a fantastic introduction to the town and nearby sites. Such a warm welcome, a comfortable stay - highly recommend.

    Clean. Reasonable size room. Small bedroom with too soft mattress and scratchy linen

    Location worked well Great that parking was included Room was a reasonable size. Clean.

    Very steep stairs to navigate with luggage. Mattress was too soft for our preference.
