Cosy, comfortable and welcoming, a lovely stay that I’d happily return to.
I had a really lovely stay at The Evenhill. The room was cosy and comfortable, and the bed was extremely comfortable with lovely soft pillows, which made for a great night’s sleep. The air conditioning was a nice bonus, and the bathroom had both a bathtub and a really good, powerful shower. I particularly liked the bedside lamps with built-in USB ports. Such a simple and thoughtful addition but really handy for charging my devices without having chargers and cables everywhere. There was also plenty of tea and coffee provided in the room, and the several packets of biscuits were a lovely little touch and very much appreciated! Breakfast was lovely and a really nice addition to the stay, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Overall, it was a really comfortable and enjoyable stay. I’d happily stay again.
My only small criticism would be the carpet. It certainly wasn’t filthy, but it did look like it could benefit from a good deep clean or perhaps replacing. Luckily, I’d brought some disposable slippers with me as I’m a little particular about things like that!

Also Schwamm drüber, kann passieren.

Overall, the stay had some positive aspects, particularly the breakfast, but there were several area
Breakfast was good
The meet and greet could have been warmer and more welcoming. The towels in the en-suite had an unpleasant smell, and the restaurant felt quite cold during my visit. The main menu was not particularly to my taste, although I did enjoy the breakfast. There was also a significant amount of mould around the first-floor bedroom windows, which would benefit from attention. The outdoor seating area / beer garden could do with a tidy up.
