  Rare treat of a property set within easy walking distance of the Moor, Forest, shops and restaurants

  This is a very nicely decorated, clean and comfortable property. It is set within it's own garden with outside lights. The property is in a fabulous location for quick access to walks in to the forest. There is a back gate that opens directly on to a public footpath that leads you to a zebra crossing over Sway Road . Once over the crossing you are a few steps away from a path leading you directly to another public footpath. Follow this path and it will take you directly on a gravel route that you can follow all the way across Burley Road and then on to another public footpath that leads you to a path then up to the forest. In addition, it is a short 5 min walk to the fabulous high street shops and cafes. Alternatively a short 5 minute walk up to the train station and cafes, pubs and restaurants. The owners left a pint of milk in the fridge, plenty of coffee and tea including fresh ground coffee for the cafetiere which was a nice touch (if you like coffee). Also, salt and pepper, cooking oil and plenty of cleaning products and hand wash etc. Nice towels and bath robes. Access to the property was very easy and the property team were very helpful

  There is nothing that I didn't like. Although I would like to point out that there are no radiators in the property it is all underfloor heated . The main areas are wooden floors and the temp is set to a 19c with no ability to change that yourself. In addition the bathroom is tiled and doesn't appear to have any heating, so difficult to dry anything if the weather is cold and wet. Pack your slippers!

  Lack of action taken by host very disappointing, garden neglected, bedroom too small.

  An issue we hoped the host would sort out was not handled very well at all, very disappointed, ruining the overall opinion of our stay. The bedroom far too small, stuffy, hot. So small that the wardrobe was in the living area. not good at all. The garden was neglected, brambles etc. Garden furniture dirty, needed cleaning before we could use them.

  New Forest delightful, great for a couple days of woodland walking. Accomodation central to village, easy walk to shops to get supplies. Light and warm inside.

  Sadly fair amount of mouldy dog poo in the Nest Garden, needs checking after lazy guests don't clean up. Might be worth checking back of swivel couch, looking soiled in a few spots, possible dog pee, again down to thoughtless guests. Stripped bed on leaving, pillows need renewing. When arriving late in dark, the key lock is impossible to read, bring a torch and glasses for easier late arrival.
