A magical, fairy-tale experience in the heart of Canterbury, full of historic charm, character and unforgettable atmosph
A charming historic hotel in a fantastic location, full of character and old-world elegance. We loved the unique atmosphere, the beautiful traditional wooden bed and the feeling of stepping back in time. It was wonderful to stay in a place with such a rich history, where Charles Dickens himself once stayed.
The only small area for improvement would be the cleanliness and overall presentation, which could have been a little better. We understand the charm of staying in an old historic building, but a little more attention to these details would have made the experience even more enjoyable. Nevertheless, we chose to focus on the hotel’s unique character and historic charm.

Great location, nice breakfast
Very difficult to find the entrance. Had to ring to find it was next door with a very small sign outside a different property
