En otrolig upplevelse
Underbart läge och känslan var mycket personlig! En rintigt fin upplevelse och man levde som en kung! Servicen var helt otroligt bra och maten var värt pengarna!

An exceptional experience!
Everything! The Ryokan lived up to expectations and beyond. The accommodation was spacious, comfortable and beautiful with a fantastic view of Kyoto. We absolutely loved our dinner and breakfast, and it was an amazing experience having it served to us in our own private dining room. It was our wedding anniversary and it was a wonderful way to celebrate. A real highlight of our trip to Japan.
Nothing! It was perfect.

We appreciated the superb food and the extremely courteous and attentive staff - a lovely visit.
We had dinner and breakfast. Both were superb - presentation, taste and service. A really memorable experience.

Excellent, interesting, good food, good room, nice setting
We were a little uncertain about what to expect as this is not a standard hotel, but everything was excellent and also very interesting. We stayed two nights. Elaborate meals (we are pescatarians, and this was not a problem), almost too much food, but all spectacularly presented - we ate privately in a dining room, and were served by one of the staff. The bedroom was beautifully set up, and futon beds on the tatami floor were made while we are at dinner (and removed while we were out during the day). Arrived by train from Tokyo and took a taxi to the hotel from Kanazawa station. The Higashi Chaya area is very close by, also many temples including one just up the hill from the hotel. We walked to the Kenrokuen garden. All very pleasant.
All good
