A beautiful Georgian townhouse in the centre of York
Amazing location, right in the centre of York. This beautiful period property is full of charm and lovely furniture.
It was all lovely. A few stains on the carpets, but they are a light cream colour, so that’s to be expected. The property is on the market for sale, so I suppose the owners aren’t too worried about keeping it pristine.

If you are not good on yr feet is a lot of stairs as house over 4 levels, was fine for us

This is an architecturally interesting historic apartment that just needs a bit of TLC.
The location was convenient. It was nice to have a parking space by the apartment. We liked the historic nature of the building and the large rooms. It was nice to have multiple rooms to relax in, and the little garden was pretty. The kitchen was well-appointed. The bathrooms were very nice and the showers were amazing. The management was very responsive and quick to address questions and issues.
The carpets should be replaced, or at the very least, deep cleaned. Some of the windows wouldn’t stay up and needed to be propped open for ventilation. One of the fans didn’t work and wasn’t replaced during our stay. One of the bedroom doors couldn’t be closed all the way (per management, this issue will be fixed), and one bedroom door wouldn’t stay shut. I wish the main bathroom had a rack for the hand towel. The number of steps weren’t an issue for us, but the stairs should be emphasized more in the listing as some people might find them difficult to manage.
