Cool place close to the university
This is an old, typical 70's era motor lodge that has been repurposed. Cool concept to bring it up to date. Nice common areas with fire rings and activities. There were several families enjoying the area to do a simple DIY breakfast in the morning with their kids here rather than do the whole restaurant thing. The decorating is cute and leans into the "Boulder" vibe. It's close to the university and not too far from downtown. The staff was great. They were helpful and eager to learn how the experience could be improved.
A complaint I often have are rooms that have queen or king sized beds with only one nightstand. Our room had two queen beds with one large nightstand between them so we made it work. The room really could use some TLC and, since they asked me, I pointed out some things to the staff that would make for a much better stay.
