OK for an overnight stay, but wouldn't recommed for longer holiday
Very helpful and friendly owner
Lots of cobwebs around No kitchen - had to rely on owner the wash and return dishes and supply tap water as only tap was in the upstairs bathroom

Lovely people and was a nice location, the drinking water was an Issue and I bought my own bottles. Was offered to knock
Location was nice and grounds around the property
The stairs were a bit more daunting than I realised. Upstairs was nice down stairs needs a bit of TLC. Children loved the games.

A lodge with enormous potential, provided it received at least minimal maintenance. It doesn't.
The friendly reception by the daughter. The size of the rooms. The comfortable beds. The very good hairdryer.
We spent one night here midway through our trip from Dover to Cornwall and planned to stay another night a week later on our way back. Our first impression was great. But upon closer inspection: cobwebs everywhere, dead flies in the cobwebs by the window above the stairs, dirty carpets, a second-hand fridge (which is fine in itself) that still had packing tape sticking inside, a disassembled computer under the table, a messy view from the windows: a broken outdoor table, spray cans and a bra (?) on the chairs by the (covered) pool, crooked lampshades,... But foremost: there was a body imprint visible on the bottom sheet of our bed and the pillowcase smelled like another person. This is totally unacceptable! We covered everything with sheets from the cupboard and slept like that. The next morning, the owner tried to convince us that the bedding was clean. We didn't believe so, we didn't want to return and, fortunately, got refunded for the second night so we could search for another cleaner option. The only blemish on an otherwise perfect holiday in Cornwall...
