  As a Level 3 and Gunius VIP member on Booking.com, I'm writing this review of the accommodation very seriously! Serious safety concerns. Strongly not recommended for families with children. 1. Serious child safety incident and irresponsible handling of the dog On the first day of our stay, the host’s dog bit our child, broke the skin and left several visible wounds on the hand. Our child had to go to the hospital and begin rabies post-exposure vaccination, with further treatment still required during our trip. What happened afterward was even more unacceptable. The host initially blamed our child for provoking the dog and told us that the bite was “safe.” After the incident, we repeatedly asked her to restrain the dog, put it on a leash, or physically separate it from guests and children. She repeatedly failed to do so. Even though she already knew that her dog had bitten and injured a child, the dog continued to roam freely around the guest yard and chase children. Until the moment we checked out, the dog was still freely roaming around the guest area. We also repeatedly asked the host for the dog’s rabies vaccination certificate. She claimed that the dog had been vaccinated, but from the time our child was bitten until the moment we checked out, she never provided any vaccination certificate or veterinary record. This meant that while our child was receiving rabies post-exposure treatment, the dog’s vaccination status remained completely unverified to us. An accident can happen. What is unacceptable is knowing that a dog has already injured a child, being repeatedly asked to control it, and still allowing it to continue roaming freely around paying guests. 2. The Booking.com listing did not match the accommodation we actually received The property is presented as “Cottage Veranda,” but this is not a traditional independent cottage. The accommodation is actually the top-floor A-frame section of the main guesthouse building.
