The location was excellent, the flat comfortble except for the primary rooms bed. Definitely needs to have a new mattress as it was like sleeping on a bag of potatoes. The oven would have been fine but not available to us as it would only display notice” bio clean needed”. Other than that it was fine but will need to be refreshed as fat as curtains go soon.

Close to Clifford Tower & the city wall with a short walk into city centre. Very spacious. Within a few metres to Wetherspoons which provided good value drinks & meals.
The carpets in the hallway (from lift to room) needed a good clean & there is a bit of a stale smell, the bed mattress in the room with the blue wall is sagging on the side closest to bathroom & the living space with a majority of beige is quite boring - not very welcoming. Can I suggest some brightly coloured cushions on the loungedls. The info book is good to have but it needs to provide info about Clifford's Tower & the city walls being so close & the fact that you can walk & follow the walls all the way around York city - this is great information for tourists with no experience in York before. There should also be a recommendation in the book for Wetherspoons - drinks & dinner are very reasonably priced & good quality - again, great for tourists. We went to Cosy Club as suggested - yuk!! & had breakfast at Rise which was good.
