  The apartment was perfect from every possible aspect, - perhaps only an Italian could design such a lovely renovation of an old apartment, in the best of taste, so that every comfort is offered (the bathroom is a stunning example of comfort and good taste), while the warm, old-world feeling of the original is kept. Every detail was perfect: rooms, beds, kitchen. And one of the very best aspects of this apartment is the fact that it is located in a street in Castello, where inhabitants are so much more prevalent than tourists; it was lovely going early every morning to the local bakery and to the local fruit and vegetables stalls (there's the local fishmonger's and butcher's too, same corner), and to hear the very good natured guy come to collect the garbage with his wheelbarrow joking with the upstairs neighbours of the house across the street about the downstairs' neighbours' propensity always to be in the bathroom when their bell is rung.... it's a real, live neihbourhood and I hope it remains so. And to top it all, the apartment is exactly 220 meters, google maps measurement, from the entrance to the Biannale - in August, a lifesaver. GianFranco and Caterina are wonderful and generous people; you feel welcomed in every way, and they let us leave our bags in the apartment for the last day so we could have a last look at the Biannale; GianFranco was available for any inquiry - in short, words simply cannot convey the wonderfulness of it all. We do very much wish to come back. Thank you, Caterina and GianFranco!

  A total hidden gem: worth every penny!

  GianMarco was a super responsive and patient host. He replied immediately to arrange a smooth handover of the keys. The apartment itself was adorable and in a quiet authentic neighbourhood. It's the perfect location for anyone wanting to visit the Biennale d'Arte. 10/10!
