    Historic and interesting but complicated

    The historic appointments and luxury were bonafide vestiges of a bygone era. It’s a neat place. The staff was very hospitable.

    The pool was closed. The area is under heavy road construction. The parking was pricey. We were unlucky because of there was a chance of hail storms and tornados so we moved from the recommended outdoor lot to a nearby indoor lot (both unaffiliated with the property) and paid way too much.

    ok, but not as good as I thought for the price.

    Most hotels have free breakfast. since you didn't, we didn't eat.

    We were charged for food and didn't get any food. Also, tips, taxes etc that were charged were more than I expected. We went and got all of our own drinks, so was disappointed we were charged for tips.

    We have been coming to the Kimpton fpr 5 years. It is our elegant one-stop shop. The dining experience in The Commitee Room is superb.
