    Outrake Cottage 10th-14th Sept 2026

    Location....just out of town but within a very easy 20 mins walk along a disused railway path. Lovely layout, spacious, big bedrooms, lovely bed linen although feather duvets may not be ideal for anyone with allergies. Free WiFi, two free parking places, complimentary toiletries, excellent high quality towels and plenty of them, dishwasher tablets included. Lovely safe, private garden and lovely views.

    Not enough range or numbers of crockery for 6 people. Shower was temperamental but always worked in the end. Lacking a few kitchen items but we left the owner a list.

    Perfect location, walking distance to the local pub. 3 comfy bedrooms enough room for us, Kiddies and in laws stay

    Drive was horrible to get van into, I wouldnt say 2 cars would fit in there. It was a squeeze and a horrible ramp to get in. It was a bit too oldy woldy for my liking. Few things I think could have been updated/changed.

    Lovely cottage, close to Coniston - would stay again.

    Clean, comfortable and really well equipped, had everything you could need. Cottage was much bigger than expected and a lovely garden to the side.

    Drive is listed as big enough for two cars but the wood store means it’s only big enough for one now, however we parked the second on the lane immediately opposite and wasn’t a problem as only one further property past this. Being an older cottage it was worn/some damp in areas but nothing major and was cleaned well prior to our stay.

    Beautiful big cottage, very well equipped, very clean. Lots of extras ie coffee,tea, oil etc provided. Towels lovely clean and soft. Bedding too!

    One little thing - the mattresses just that side of too soft , I know you can't please every one ❤️
