  Loved our stay here and would highly recommend.

  Loved the location and loved the house.

  It was clean and comfortable and had everything you needed. The host was lovely and very helpful.

  Appartement idéal pour un sejour long (15 jours dans notre cas) ou pas

  L'appartement correspond au descriptif photo. Bien situé pour accéder au Tramway et facilement rejoindre Eminönü (à 4 stations!) d'où l'on peut rejoindre à pied ou en transport tous les sites touristiques de la ville. A quelques rues de l'appart, se trouvent la magnifique église orthodoxe Saint Sauveur in Chora (ne pas louper), la belle mosquée de la princesse mihrimah...Le quartier est typique du quartier Balat. Aucun souci pour faire des courses. Présence de nombreux restaurants et coffee-shops à 2 pas. Je conseille en famille (ou pas)! Merci Sencer pour ton accueil.

  Seul bemol: il faudra fermer la fenêtre lors du passage du camion fumigène anti-moustiques en soirée (passage une fois par semaine). Cela semble être le cas dans toute la ville.

  Accueil très sympathique de notre hôte. L'appartement est très bien situé et confortable. La petite terrasse est très agréable. On a beaucoup aimé notre séjour.

  Comfortably renovated apartment in a really lovely location

  Very cosy, comfortable and well equipped apartment in a great local neighbourhood. Balat is by no means undiscovered, but it has a more traditional and authentic Turkish feel to it than Beyoglu where I’ve previously stayed. The street the house on is quite quiet, but it’s also is just a stones throw from the main thoroughfare, with lots of interesting shops, cafes and restaurants and it’s also very close to both Balat and Fener tram and ferry stops, for a quick, easy and scenic ride to the main tourist sites. I imagine the are is gradually transitioning from a traditional conservative residential area to something a bit more cosmopolitan, but the balance still seem to work well at the moment. Sencer, our host very friendly, informative and flexible - and also runs the best pizza shop in Istanbul - be sure to drop by his Store, Pizzarotti about 100 metres from the house! We ate there on several occasions and also enjoyed personally delivered takeaway on the wonderful roof terrace one evening.

  The flat is well maintained and generally very clean - a small request - just the skirting boards and woodwork in the bathroom could do with a thorough clean as it’s Al a bit dusty. Also the bed is very comfortable but the mattress base was very squeaky whenever you moved in bed!
