We all loved the house, full of character and close to everything we needed. We had a wonderful time.
A stunning house in an amazing location. Our host was very accommodating and left us a welcome pack which was much appreciated.

Tollgates is such a lovely house and offers us as a group of 3 families the perfect place to stay for a long weekend. The bedrooms are all good sizes with nice, comfortable beds. The living rooms and kitchen are also all good sizes with comfortable furniture and plenty of kitchen equipment for cooking and eating for everyone staying there. The house is set in lovely countryside, plenty of parking on the drive and is just a short walk into Rye.
A bit of a challenge with the heating system to get the heating levels right in some of the rooms, but it is an old house- so it is going to have its quirks.

Amazing
Lovely house, very picturesque and very clean. We had a wonderful stay. Short walk to local pub and only 15 minutes walk to centre of Rye.
Not really a didn’t like but we had some issues with hot water and heating which was a bit temperamental.

Homely house great location !
Beds very comfortable, friendly home feel. Great location
No fire starter pack, sitting room ok for 6 but not enough for 7. Kitchen table too small for 7. Table in conservatory too large, and very basic in looks and feel. Conservatory would have been nicer if we could all sit and relax with just a coffee/drinks table. Heating in the sitting room was not warm enough.

Tolle Lage schönes Haus
Sehr schönes Haus und die Fotos stimmen mit dem Original überein.Der Standort auch perfekt und nicht weit weg zur Stadt Rye.Kann man sehr gut zu Fuss machen.Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet und lässt fast nichts vermissen. Die Kommunikation mit Jacqui hervorragend und sehr schnelle Antworten immer,danke dafür. Vorabinformation für die Anreise bezüglich Schlüssel und Alarmanlage hat sehr gut funktioniert.Ich könnte mir vorstellen dass es im Frühjahr Sommer auch sehr schön ist vor Ort. Dankeschön dafür das wir schon sehr zeitig ins Haus konnten bei Ankunft.
Natürlich gibt es auch paar Kleinigkeiten.Die Bettdecke war mir etwas zu dünn.Auch hatten wir den Eindruck die Heizung war etwas verstellt,wurde nicht immer dann warm wenn's gewünscht war. Morgens Recht kalt im Haus mitunter.Der Kamin im Wohnzimmer gemütlich aber fürs abbrennen vom Holz nicht gut belüftet anscheinend. Vielleicht könnte man den Gästen bescheid geben wenn tagsüber jemand das Grundstück betritt für arbeiten im Garten.Es verwirrt etwas wenn plötzlich ein Auto auftaucht.
