Stunning, would love to come back again.
Magnificent property with uninterrupted stunning views over Lake Como. Quality furnishings throughout the property set amongst beautiful gardens, just a short 5 minute stroll to Varenna’s sites and restaurants.

Absolutely wonderful stay at Villa Monti!
We loved that Villa Monti is just outside of the busy area of town. The views were amazing! Loved the pool in the afternoon each day! Villa Monti is a perfect place to stay in beautiful Varenna!

Villa Monti and the host (Christian) facilitated an exceptional holiday in an idyllic setting.
Villa Monti was built in the early 1900s and has been converted into a 5-6 very luxurious and tastefully decorated apartments. All the rooms are large: bedrooms, bathrooms (yes, two), living space, and kitchen. One could easily live in the apartment year-round, it is that sizable and so well appointed. The place was spotlessly clean. The host (Christian) organised a taxi to bring us from the train station. He met us with the keys, and showed us how to work everything in the apartment. Because he knew our stay was in celebration of a 25th wedding anniversary, he even provided a chilled bottle of Italian champagne as a welcoming present. He could not have been nicer or a more gracious host and added greatly to the ambiance of our stay. The villa is a very short (5-minute) walk to the centre of Varenna. The views of Lake Como from the villa are breath-taking. Even the Wi-Fi was high-speed and reliable!
Villa Monti surpassed our expectations by such a wide margin that I cannot think of anything that justifies constructive criticism. It is a superlative property.
